Who we are
The Resurgence Institute of Resuscitation Sciences was started by a group of practising anaesthesiologists, each with a busy clinical practice and a shared commitment to improving community safety. We teach resuscitation to the people most likely to be first at the bedside — doctors, nurses, technicians and first responders — across Northeast India.
To create a safer, more prepared community through widespread basic life support education.
To offer high-quality training programmes that equip individuals with the knowledge and skills to respond effectively to emergencies.

What we teach
Four certification programmes — COLS, BCLS, CCLS, and the combined BCLS + CCLS batch. Every one is hands-on, taught in small groups with manikin practice, and every certificate is valid for two years. BCLS and CCLS are certified by the Indian Resuscitation Council Federation; COLS carries the RIRS certificate. See the programmes.
Authorised training centre
RIRS is authorised by the Indian Resuscitation Council Federation as a Comprehensive Resuscitation Training Centre — which is what allows us to issue IRCF certificates for BCLS and CCLS.
The institute is at the forefront of advancing resuscitation techniques and education. Its foundation is rooted in a clear vision: to save lives and enhance the quality of emergency medical care.

Public awareness
We believe education is a powerful tool for community empowerment. The institute runs public awareness campaigns and workshops on basic life support techniques, the importance of early intervention, and the role of bystanders in saving lives.
